Equipment Rebuilds
ATD has been rebuilding foundry equipment for over 25 years. Rebuilds
can range from a simple clean up and replacement of primary wear
components to complete controls systems retrofit kits.
Among the many pieces of equipment rebuilt here at ATD in the past
are core machines, gravity pour permanent mold casting machines,
low pressure casting machines, and green sand foundry equipment.
One important area where we add value is by replacing difficult
to obtain components with standard off-the-shelf purchased components.
Replacement of outdated or obsolete components, especially in the
pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical lines, can be an exponentially
large production cost savings by decreasing downtime and increasing
efficiency of machine equipment.
Reduction in capital costs can be realized by utilizing current
plant equipment and modifying that equipment to accept new tooling
designs that are a part of a production job change. Significant
monetary savings exist for the customer as opposed to buying new
equipment when this approach can be used.
